Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms before booking. They cover health requirements, behaviour, payments, cancellations and emergency care.

By booking with Hotel for Dogs, you agree to these terms.

1. Bookings

All bookings are subject to availability and are only confirmed once accepted by Hotel for Dogs.
We may ask for a deposit or full payment in advance to secure a booking.

2. Health and Vaccinations

All dogs attending Hotel for Dogs must be in good health and free from contagious illness, fleas, ticks and worms.
Dogs must have up-to-date vaccinations, including kennel cough where required by our policy. Proof of vaccination must be provided before your dog’s stay or daycare visit.
If a dog arrives unwell, or showing signs of illness or infestation, we may refuse admission or ask for immediate collection.

3. Breed Policy

We reserve the right to refuse any dog that we feel is not suitable for our setting, based on breed type, size, strength, temperament, handling needs or safety concerns.

4. Behaviour and Suitability

All dogs must be safe to handle and suitable for a boarding or daycare environment.
Owners must tell us in advance about any behavioural or temperament issues, including aggression, biting, reactivity, anxiety, escape tendencies, guarding behaviour, or problems mixing with other dogs or people.
We may refuse, cancel or end a booking if a dog’s behaviour is unsafe, disruptive, or unsuitable for our environment.

5. Trial Visits and Assessments

We may require a trial visit, assessment, or introductory stay before accepting a dog for regular daycare or boarding.
This helps us make sure the environment is the right fit for your dog and for the other dogs in our care.

6. Dogs in Season / Unneutered Dogs

Owners must let us know if a dog is unneutered or, in the case of a female dog, is in season or likely to come into season during the booking period.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel bookings where this may affect safety, management, or suitability.

7. Food, Medication and Special Care

Owners must provide clear information about their dog’s feeding routine, medication, allergies, medical conditions and any special care needs.
Any medication must be clearly labelled and supplied with written instructions. We will do our best to follow care instructions, but reserve the right to refuse anything that falls outside what we can safely manage.

8. Emergency Veterinary Care

If your dog becomes ill or is injured while in our care, we will make every reasonable effort to contact you straight away.
If urgent veterinary treatment is needed and we cannot reach you in time, you authorise us to seek veterinary care on your behalf.
All veterinary fees, transport costs and related expenses remain the responsibility of the owner.

9. Group Play and General Risk

Dogs are animals, and while we take every reasonable care, no daycare or boarding environment is completely risk-free.
By using our services, you accept that normal dog behaviour and group interaction can sometimes result in minor injuries, stress, illness transmission, or damage to belongings.

10. Liability

Hotel for Dogs will take reasonable care of all dogs in our care. However, we are not responsible for illness, injury, loss or damage arising from:
• pre-existing health or behavioural issues
• incomplete or inaccurate information provided by the owner
• risks naturally associated with boarding, daycare, exercise, transport or dog-to-dog interaction
• events outside our reasonable control

Owners remain responsible for any loss, damage or injury caused by their dog.

11. Payment

All fees must be paid by the agreed date.
Additional charges may apply for late collection, extended stays, emergency care, excessive cleaning, damage caused by a dog, or any extra handling required.

12. Cancellations

We ask for as much notice as possible if you need to cancel a booking.
Deposits are generally non-refundable unless we agree otherwise. We also reserve the right to charge for late cancellations, no-shows, or shortened stays.

13. Drop-Off and Collection

Dogs must be dropped off and collected at the agreed times.
Late collection may result in an additional charge. If a dog is not collected and we are unable to contact the owner or emergency contact, we may make whatever arrangements are necessary for the dog’s welfare at the owner’s expense.

14. Right to Refuse Service

Hotel for Dogs reserves the right to refuse, cancel or end any booking where:
• a dog does not meet our health or vaccination requirements
• a dog is unsafe or unsuitable for our environment
• important information has not been disclosed
• payment has not been made
• an owner behaves abusively or unreasonably toward staff

15. Personal Belongings

Any bedding, toys, leads, bowls, coats or other belongings left with your dog are left at your own risk. We cannot accept responsibility for loss, chewing, damage or soiling.

16. Photos and Social Media

We may occasionally take photos or videos of dogs in our care for operational or promotional use.
If you do not want your dog’s image used on our website or social media, please let us know in writing before your booking.

17. Owner Responsibilities

By booking with Hotel for Dogs, you confirm that:
• the dog is yours, or you are authorised to act on the owner’s behalf
• all information you provide is true and complete
• your dog is medically fit to attend
• your dog is microchipped and legally compliant
• you accept these Terms & Conditions

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The version in place at the time of booking will apply.
